IoT, Cloud & CyberSecurity Innovation Awards 2017 – finalists announced

Now SIX categories – judging by IT gurus, VCs, technology media and analysts

Finalists have been announced for six categories of the prestigious  IoT and Cloud Innovation Awards 2017. There will be three Hot Start Up awards for pre-IPO contestants, and three Innovation Leader awards for established companies offering ground-breaking, innovative products or services. In both cases, there will be separate awards for the Cloud/Datacentre, IoT and CyberSecurity categories. The winners will be announced and the awards presented at the NetEvents Global Press & Analyst Summit Gala Dinner on Thursday 28th September. All proceeds will be donated to three charities: Prostate Cancer Research, STEM and UNICEF.

For each of the Hot Start Up award categories, three finalists have been announced, in alphabetical order, as follows:

  • Hot Start Up ­– CyberSecurity: Javelin Networks, RiskSense and Zimperium
  • Hot Start Up – Cloud/Datacentre: Apstra, Inc., Cohesity and Crate
  • Hot Start Up – IoT: InfluxData, NetFoundry and OnDot

For the three Start Up categories, the finalists are invited to give a short presentation at the NetEvents conference ‘Shark Tank’ session to an audience that includes VCs, business angels, entrepreneurs and IT industry leaders.

For each of the Hot Start Up award categories, four finalists have been announced, in reverse alphabetical order, as follows:

  • Innovation Leader – CyberSecurity: Ziften, Vectra, Palo Alto Networks, Darktrace
  • Innovation Leader – Cloud/Datacentre: Skuid, Oracle/Ravello, Infinera, Cohesity, Apstra
  • Innovation Leader – IoT: Zebra Technologies, NetFoundry, General Electric, Cloudera

The three Innovation Leader categories will be judged by a panel of leading technology press and industry analysts from around the globe.

In both cases the awards will be presented at a high-profile dinner co-located with NetEvents 2017 Global Press & Analyst Summit, attended by more than 70 key Technology Press & Analysts, representing 100+ publications from 35 countries around the world. This two-day event provides vendors with a unique opportunity to meet key technology business press and analysts from these countries in a series of scheduled sessions to be informed, debate and discuss the latest hot topics and breaking IT news. This year’s Summit is being held at the Dolce Hayes Mansion in San Jose, California, USA.

This year all proceeds from the awards, plus profits and donations from the evening, will be donated to three charities: Prostate Cancer Research, STEM and UNICEF.  The NetEvents awards programme has to date generated over $110,000 with 100% of the money going to charity.
