Netskope has announced an expanded partnership with Google Cloud aimed at supporting enterprise deployment of generative AI and autonomous “agentic” AI workflows on Google Cloud, using Netskope One AI Guardrails and Google Cloud Tensor Processing Units (TPUs).
The company said the approach is designed to apply security and safety controls to high-performance AI workloads while maintaining low latency, by running checks on optimised TPU instances. The solution also integrates with Google Cloud’s Vertex AI platform for real-time content moderation.
The announcement comes as organisations move beyond chatbot pilots toward autonomous agents that can execute tasks independently, increasing the potential impact of issues such as prompt injection, jailbreaking, indirect prompt injection via tools and APIs, and unintended recursive loops that could lead to resource exhaustion or unauthorised changes.
Netskope said the expanded offering is intended to provide “agent-native” controls by verifying agent interactions in real time against enterprise policy when agents call tools, interact with an MCP server, or execute autonomous tasks. It also said the solution enforces safety checks for categories including hate speech and discrimination, criminal activity, suicide and self-harm, piracy and copyright, and requests for sensitive data.
In addition to threat controls, Netskope positioned the deployment model as supporting data sovereignty requirements by running within a customer’s Google Cloud instance, scanning prompts and responses locally so data does not leave the governed tenant. The company said this may help customers address compliance obligations including GDPR, HIPAA and the EU AI Act.
“Netskope and Google Cloud’s collaboration helps bring the best of AI innovation from Google Cloud and enterprise security from Netskope,” said Vineet Bhan, Director of Security and Identity Partnerships, Google. “Netskope One AI Guardrails works with Vertex AI and TPUs to enable the secure deployment of both generative AI and autonomous agents. Together, we are helping organisations build the future of their business on a foundation of trust.”
“As a global leader in AI-ready security and networking, Netskope provides critical capabilities required for the safe, high-performance adoption of modern AI workflows,” said Sanjay Beri, CEO and Co-Founder, Netskope. “We are proud to collaborate with Google Cloud to help ensure that customers can confidently pursue their AI goals.”
