OffSec launches framework hub mapping cyber roles to training content

OffSec has launched a “framework hub” on its website that maps common cybersecurity job roles to the company’s courses, labs and learning paths using multiple workforce frameworks, including NICE (versions 2.2 and 2.1), the US Department of Defense Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF), ENISA’s European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF), the Saudi Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (SCyWF), and the Cyber Resilience Omani Workforce Framework (CyROW).

The company says the hub is intended to help security leaders plan training against role definitions used by governments and enterprises and report progress in terms familiar to boards and regulators.

“Cyber workforce development starts with the business,” said Cody Vitez, OffSec’s Vice President of Sales for the Americas. “We look at what a company wants to achieve, the technology behind it and the skills it takes to protect it. Then we assess the team, build learning plans around the gaps and test again to confirm the skills are there. The frameworks give everyone from the analyst to the CISO the same definitions.”

The launch comes as organisations and regulators put more focus on demonstrable cyber capability, beyond job titles and certifications. The press release cited the ISC2 2025 Cybersecurity Workforce Study, which reported 59 percent of organisations have critical or significant cybersecurity skills gaps, alongside regulatory requirements such as the EU’s NIS2 directive and the US DoD 8140 workforce qualification standard.

OffSec said its training library includes more than 8,000 hours of content delivered through its OffSec Learn Enterprise subscription, and described a broader shift toward modular, “stackable” training that can be updated more frequently as threats change.

“Attackers change their methods constantly, and AI has made that pace faster than any training calendar,” said OffSec Senior Director, Solution Advisory Adam Sheffield. “Once-a-year training leaves teams a step behind. For 20 years, OffSec has set the standard for hands-on cyber training. We keep building for what comes next, from AI red teaming to AI-enabled incident response. We map our rapidly evolving content library to global frameworks so teams can keep pace with the exponential advances in adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures.”

The company said security leaders can access the hub at offsec.com/frameworks.
