New Board for international holography trade body

IHMA LogoThe trade body for the global hologram industry has announced a new-look Board for 2015 as it continues to develop its activities in Asia, notably China.

The International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA), a not-for-profit organisation that represents and promotes the hologram industry worldwide, has invited XiaoDong Liu, founder and CEO of from Henan Province Wellking Technologies Co. Ltd, in China, as a Board member.

Also confirmed as newly-elected Board members are Diana Newcomb of Pacific Holographics, U.S. and Nuray Yilmaz of MTM Bilisim Arge Yazilim ve Guvenlik Teknolojileri San Ticaret. A.S., Turkey.  Mike Messmer of U.S. based hologram producer NovaVision Inc. continues in his role as chairman.

Process Color’s Rajan Thomas continues as Asia regional representative, while OpSec Security Group’s Paul Dunn continues as the EU and EFTA board representative and Goran Milinovic, from System Intelligence Products, represents the CIS/FSU region.

The Hazen Paper Company’s Gloria Hazen also continues as the Board representative for IHMA members in North America, and Manoj Kochar, president of the newly named Authentication Solution Providers Association (formerly the Hologram Manufacturers Association of India) represents India’s fast growing hologram industry at Board level.

The appointments will underpin the IHMA’s work to advance the understanding and development of holograms and holographic technology, particularly in the authentication of products and documents, decoration and illustration, displays and display systems, energy and environmental improvements.

Mike Messmer said: “The IHMA is fully committed to promoting the interests of the hologram industry and to provide valuable support and guidance to its global members.

“Asia, in particular China, is seeing a significant amount of activity for the hologram industry, so to have continuing strategic representation there will be beneficial as we look for growth in a territory that can be challenging to penetrate.

“Elsewhere, hologram innovation continues to flourish, and it’s encouraging to see new ideas being generated by both established players and companies new to the sector.”
