Gavin Larsen Appointed Director Law Enforcement Program, Unisys Asia Pacific

imageUnisys has appointed Gavin Larsen to the newly created position of Director Law Enforcement Program Asia Pacific.

In this role Gavin is responsible for solutions to support law enforcement agencies and organisations drawing on the Unisys Public Safety & Justice Portfolio.  The Unisys Public Safety and Justice practice offers a portfolio of solutions focused on enabling government agencies to share critical information and use advanced tools to maintain and improve public safety and the administration of justice.

In particular Unisys law enforcement solutions support law enforcement investigations, fraud investigations, intelligence collection, intelligence analysis as well as providing technical knowledge and analysis of specialised law enforcement applications and operational environments.

Gavin brings 25 years law enforcement experience in Australia at the state, national and international level, having worked in the South Australia Police, National Crime Authority, Australian Bureau of Criminal Intelligence, Australian Crime Commission and the Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity.  During his law enforcement career, he performed the roles of Investigator, Intelligence Officer and Analyst, Intelligence Trainer, Manager of Operations and Director of Intelligence.

Gavin holds a Graduate Diploma of Criminal Intelligence (CSU) and is a former Board member and member of the Australian Institute of Professional Intelligence Officers (AIPIO).  Along with investigation and intelligence, he is also qualified in Scientific Content Analysis (SCAN) and Behavioural Interviewing techniques.

Gavin is the recipient of a number of awards in recognition of his service to law enforcement in Australia. Gavin has also received international recognition with a Certificate of Recognition

from the United States Justice Department Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and a Certificate of Appreciation from the California Department of Justice, Los Angeles Police and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Departments.
