LANCOM Systems and Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity will merge to form a single subsidiary, to be called Rohde & Schwarz Networks and Cybersecurity GmbH, according to a company statement. The merged entity is scheduled to take effect from July 1, 2026, with LANCOM continuing as a product brand.

The companies said the move formalises their existing cooperation and combines their networking and cybersecurity offerings under one organisation. The new subsidiary will be headquartered in Würselen, Germany, and will retain all existing locations, including sites in Hamburg, Karlsruhe, Cologne, Berlin and Munich.

Constantin von Reden and Robert Mallinson, currently managing directors at LANCOM, will become managing directors of Rohde & Schwarz Networks and Cybersecurity from July 1. LANCOM founder Ralf Koenzen, currently managing director of Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity, will move into an advisory role.

In a statement, von Reden said the merger was intended to strengthen the group’s market presence and support delivery of “secure and high-performing solutions”. Koenzen said the LANCOM brand would remain part of the product portfolio, while the Rohde & Schwarz brand would support expansion in international markets.

The merged company is expected to have around 500 employees across its six German locations. The company said new resources are being developed to support its growth strategy.

The new organisation said it will focus on corporate networking customers, public sector requirements, critical infrastructures and the security and defence sectors, with a particular emphasis on growth in Europe. It will continue to use a channel distribution model; Mallinson said the company plans to expand its partner ecosystem, including working more closely with international integrators in corporate, public and critical infrastructure segments.
